As a part of the Live Well Initiative, the Temple Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to challenge the Temple community to join the rest of the world to log 1,000,000 miles of physical activity this April. This is an annual challenge to complete one million miles of physical activity, together as one global community. Participants are encouraged to explore Temple’s many beautiful walking trails and parks, then log their steps by clicking on the Million Mile Month event located on the HealthCode.org website. “We hope that the entire community will embrace this challenge,” said Nancy Glover, CVB Director. “We’d like to encourage all participants to also take part in the upcoming Bush's Spring Chicken 10K, or simply jump on a treadmill at any of the many fitness facilities in Temple to get as many steps in as they can.”Participants may enter their total number of miles each day, week or at the end of the month by visiting the HealthCode.org website or by linking your Fitbit or other fitness trackers to automatically log your activities. The step log will also be accessible from the event tab of the CVB Facebook Page – or by visiting our website at DiscoverTemple.com. It is free to participate, however, donations to the non-profit that runs the challenge are appreciated. Live Well in 2018 by joining us in this challenge!
